Respite care can be a much needed break for a full-time caregiver of a loved one with Alzheimer's disease. There are several different models for respite care, but what they all have in common, is they take over care for your loved one for a couple week, a couple days, or even a couple hours, which gives the full-time caregiver a break to take care of themselves for that time.
