There are 7 functional stages for Alzheimer's.

http://www.alz.org/alzheimers_disease_stages_of_alzheimers.asp

The website above lists out all 7 stages.

There are also 3 stages for Alzheimer's in general: early, moderate and severe stages.

To me, I found that the 7 funcitonal stages are more practical and helpful.

There are no 4 stages, but there are only 3 stages or 7 stages depending on the kind of staging.

Regards,

Nina
