Sorry I was not clear: the management of the apt should not evict your parents unless you guys have not paid the mortgage back properly. It is the only reason. As long as your father is ok and your Mom can contain her behaviors, it should be ok for your parents to stay. Unless your mother really has become violent for the neighbors, the mangement has no reason to evict her. The management should find out a way to help her. If it is not a assisted-live-in, the mangement may suggest that your Mom move to an assited-live-in place or a nursing home. But if your Dad is ok, he can stay in the same apartment unless he wants to be with your Mom if she moves out. The only 2 issues here are money and violence (an danger to hersellf , the neghbors or the family.) You can also hire some caregivers to help your Dad. If the apt is like a regular apt, I think it is just safety issues. Everything else is just private and it is up to your Dad and your family.   Nina
