Q: How much fresh coconut would need to be consumed to give the benefit of a tablespoon of coconut oil? Does the coconut "milk" contain the same benefit? If so, in what proportion?

Hi Nancy,

From what I've read coconut oil isn't in the milk of the coconut. It's extracted from the meat. It's not likely anyone could get a therapeutic amount from eating coconut (though coconut has many nutrients and is delicious!).

Take care,

Carol
