I am sorry to know that your brother is sick with Alzheimer's. This is the early onset kind since he is not so old. I heard that this kind of Alzheimer's is more acute and shorter. Typical older Alzheimer's like my father-in-law's probably lasts 10-15 years and he is 87 already. I think you may need to consider a nursing home or assisted live-in for him since all of you are probably still young and working and cannot take care of him 24 hours. I don't know if the doctors are right or not. You can seek for second opinion to see. My blessings, Nina
