you'll find block nurse programs, Senior Companions and other suggestions that may help you find free respite. In-home care from an agency can be a huge help, but yes, it's expensive. If you go to your state Web site and look under "aging care", or something similar, you should find some contact information for your state. Also, your state may participate in 2-1-1, a phone number that lists services for many issues.
Good luck. It's tough to do this alone and money can be a huge issue. Don't forget that if your health breaks down, that, too will be expensive. I hope you find something.
