Nursing Home Recommendations for Houston, Texas or Katy, Texas
Is there a website where people give personal recomendations for nursing homes?...my mom is in a private pay alzheimer facility which I love....but they do not accept medicaid...at some point my mom will run out of money and I need to know of some facilities that will accept medicaid.....I would be interested in nursing homes in Houston, Texas or Katy, Texas.....if anyone has had a good experience and would recommend a nursing home, I would certainly appreciate it.....

I can advise you of some resources to use in order to help simplify your search. You can visit www.memberofthefamily.net for a comprehensive listing of all the facilities in Texas (plus a report on deficiencies and violations according to survey standards), or www.aplaceformom.com where you can narrow down your search based on specific criteria. I also advise you to check out http://www.alzfdn.org/Members/members.html#t for a listing of AFA's member organizations in the state of Texas. Although I do not recommend any of these websites in particular, I would suggest looking into all of them as they may be useful sources to you. Best of luck in your search!
