Now, a family (or elder) mediator may be the only way you can do this http://www.healthcentral.com/alzheimers/c/62/67816/conflict-mediation/2 . This is so common with siblings. It's hard, painful and frustrating, but you need help and a third party may be your only answer.   Sometimes, a pastor or Rabbi my be of some help, but you may need someone with more authority, which is why a paid mediator may be needed.   Good luck with this.
