Q: Who is the best doctor/hospital in the Chicagoland (or nationwide) area for dementia?

My grandmother was just recently diagnosed with acute dementia.  (There is a family history of alzheimers and dementia.)  She has had numerous test to figure out what is the cause.  It seemed to be prolonged high blood pressure and vitamin deficiencies due to her not eating or taking her medication.  We need to know what is the best doctors and hospitals for this condition in the Chicagoland area.  We are open to information from any research groups on this topic.  We are also open to travel to see an expert on the topic.

Word of mouth is often a good indicator. Maybe you could talk to some people at your local Alzheimer's organization and see if there's a group you could attend. Then chat with the people at the local support group about doctors.
