Without a brain human beings would not be able to live, so I guess that is preety important! The brain controls all functions of the body. o you need this information for a project?

The brain tells all of the other organs in the body how to function, so if the brain isn't working well, depending on the part of the brain affected, other organs can stop working correctly. The brain tells the body what to do.

Jewelz,

The brain is very important and I actually saw a science fiction movie long time ago. It is about a scientist (or someone) reserved his own brain/head in a special fluid tank (with lots of tubings to the outside) without his body to keep him alive. Well he lived miserably so in the end he stopped living like that. Forgot the details, but brain is our vital life. Just like memory is important to a computer. Without a RAM or hard drive, the computer is useless.

Regards,
Nina

Hi, Jewelz,

Another resource that you may want to check out is HBO's "The Alzheimer's Project," which includes several longer films as well as a lot of supplementary materials. You can stream the videos on line. I found these to be very informative about both the brain as well as Alzheimer's disease.

Take care!
