Saturday, April 03, 2010 Rajkumar Gupta asks

Q: I am thinking to donate the brain of my wife who is in late stage of A.D. for research. Pl advise.

My wife has been suffering from early on-set A.D. for last almost 6 years, She is in her late stage of disease.

I am thinking to donate her brain for research so that it may help the doctors and scientists to find a cure of this horriblle disease and help others.

Pl advise if its really worth? Should I do it or not?

I am based in Mumbai, India. Where and to whom should I contact in this regard?

Awaiting yr earliest response.

Thanks a lot.

I think you'd have to contact the local Alzheimer's organization nearest you. They could help you. I know India has become quite active in Alzheimer's care.
