You are a good friend. This poor woman's situation points out the holes in our medical care. She should be able to see a doctor.   Do you know any of her family well enough to talk with them. They should be the ones to step in. If you are really close and you feel it is best, let her know that you understand her fear. She is likely afraid she will lose her job, but she will anyway, if she can't do it. Maybe you can help her by getting her permission and going with her to see the social services in her county. Or you could go on the Florida state web site and look for services. There should be a phone number under aging services. If you can talk with someone in Florida about what is available there, you may be able to start the ball rolling.   Good luck with this. Carol
