I know a woman whose father was mistakenly diagnosed with Alzheimer's. It sounded like vascular dementia to me, and it turned out it was. She said they kept him on Aricept, however, because it helped blood flow. It certainly wouldn't hurt to ask the physician (or two) if they think it would help. Carol
