Does anyone practice therapeutic reminiscing with a family member with memory loss?

Obviously memory is a tricky thing with Alzheimer's or dementia, but so much of our identity, pride and comfort can come from aspects of our lives that occured in the past.  Often those with memory loss retain connections to aspects of their history, and I am wondering how others help...
