Urine infections are not caused by Alzheimer's disease but it can make people with it more susceptible to them. The elderly are more at risk from this type of infection, as are people who have poor mobility or are bedridden that you might find helpful. Here is a link to more information-

A swollen face will not be caused by Alzheimer's but it may be a sign that your relative has a serious infection that could be linked to the urine infection, for instance, a kidney infection or kidney failure. There are also many other different conditions and diseases that could cause his/her symptoms.
I am not a doctor but I am very concerned about these symptoms. You need to get him/her to a doctor urgently for an accurate diagnosis and treatment.
