my 17 year old is picking herself apart. how can i stop her from picking?

hi. my daughter has a combination of different mental illnesses. she is on a combination of medications & has had picking problems for many years. she is almost 17 years old. i have covered up her sores ( self inflicted ) but she continues to pick right through them. how can i help my daughter…
