Where can I find a large calendar that lights up (electric), mounts on the wall, spells out the day and month; has the date and year that would be a visual reminder to my dad what day it is?

I'm not sure about this exact thing, but the Alzheimer's Store has great things (www.alzstore.com). You could also so a general Internet search.

Hi, Darrell,
I also haven't see this. I went the "low-tech" way by creating a calendar on a marker board which included all the pertinent information you're describing as well as any upcoming appointments/events that Mom would want to know. It really worked well for her.
