Hi Janie

I am not a professional but I am the primary care giver of my husband with alzheimers. Please get your mother to her doctor quickly. The doctor needs to run some tests and can tell you if you are right. Are you the only one to help your mother is your father still with her? They have many medications that really do work and the faster you get them diagnosised and the faster she is started on them the better. Take care of you too and talk. You have come to the right place for answers but first you need a professional diagnosis. Then stay on this site and let all the wonderful people here help you get through this it is a difficult road you face but armed with the right tools you will survive this and come out a better person for it. Just don't let you get lost and not take care of your self. Like I said medical attention first then stick with this site and talk alot and often it really does help. Please feel free to write me any time. Connie
