I am new at this, and I need help

My Mom was diagnosed with "Dementia" one year ago. She has been taking Namenda and Aricept. I'm not sure what to expect or how to deal with this. She lives with me and my fiance. Over the past year, I have found myself getting angry, and actually yelled at her for not remembering something. This brought me here. I need help!

I am fity-seven and care for two alzheimers patients. i also live with a disabled husband who is sane and insane. when he is in pain, he's insane (Ha). I need advice on getting meds to patients without resistance. Can someone help me. Thank you. Wami (my grandkids call me this)

How young is too young?

My husband is 58 and was recently diagnosed with dementia.  Although our doctor has not declared it Alzheimer's, he has certainly alluded to it.  I have always thought of dementia/Alzheimer's being a disease of the elderly, but obviously I was wrong.  If there is anyone out there with a similiar situation, please... Read moreChevron
