safe houseplants?

I would like to bring houseplants and window gardening into the facility where I work.  We have a resident cat and 32 alzheimer residents. I would like a list of what plants are safe.

Behavioral changes

I have a loved one that lives in CA and I live in MD.  I talk to him at least twice a week, and noticed nothing.  However, I have been told that he gets agitated very easily.  I am trying to find out what are some of the behavioral changes people with alzheimers experience?
