New ADHD med shows positive results in clinical trial

Drugmaker Targacept Inc. says their experimental adult ADHD medication has met its primary target in a Phase II clinical trial. The drug--AZD3480--was originally developed for Alzheimer's disease, but it failed to be effective. However, researchers say 50 mg of the medication improved attention, memory problems, hyperactivity, and restlessness in a study of adults with ADHD. Read more »
