Smell test may help diagnose dementia

Researchers say testing a patient's sense of smell may help doctors diagnose early-stage Alzheimer's. The sense of smell is one of the first things to go when there is injury to the brain, so testing that sense with devices like the Sniff Magnitude Test may alert doctors to changes in a patient's mental function.  Read full story >
