How to get quick help in the ER

According to a report published this week, the average total wait time in an emergency room in the United States is four hours and three minutes, a 27-minute increase in this average since 2002. Researchers say this jump in wait times is chiefly due to people losing their jobs and health insurance in the recession, forcing them to use ERs and their primary medical care. But experts say there are ways you can speed up your wait if you genuinely feel you or a loved one is not getting needed care quickly enough.
