Cognitive ability, diet have a role in heart disease

According to a new study, seniors who eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables and have good cognitive abilities have less of a chance of dying from heart disease than those who eat a less healthful diet and who have poorer cognitive functions. Researchers also found that seniors whose diets were heavy on fruits and vegetables had less of a chance of actually having poor cognitive abilities. Cognitive abilities include such things as the ability to plan, think, remember, and organize information.
