Alzheimer's May Start in the Liver: Study

Alzheimer's disease may start in the liver, not the brain, a new animal study suggests. That's because beta amyloid plaques--the proteins that are often found in the brain of Alzheimer's patients appears to be produced in the liver and transmitted to the brain. Researchers say this discovery could lead to new treatments for Alzheimer's disease.
