Interview with Diane Peters Mayer on Children with Anxiety

Diane Peters Mayer, graduated with a B.A. in psychology and a master's degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a psychotherapist in private practice in Doylestown, PA since 1990. Diane's own struggle with anxiety and how she overcame it is the basis for her specialization in school anxiety, anxiety disorders, and performance anxiety.


Children who spend their days trying to coping with anxiety in school suffer and they often feel frightened, helpless, full of shame, and worthless. Parents feel powerless to help their child. Diane's work with children and their parent focuses on empowering children to take control of their anxiety and teaching parents how to guide that process.
