So glad you wrote about this Eileen.  I am going to let people on MyDepressionConnection know about your article.  There are many members who are taking multiple medications and they want to know of the possible dangers.  It seems that some patients are not having this discussion with their doctor and it is frightening to think that Serotonin Syndrome can be a potential side effect to taking certain medications together. 

 

I have not known anyone who personally has gone through this.  It would be especially helpful if any of our members could share if they have had this experience.

I agree, it is scary. I don't know of anyone who has gone through this but I do take medications for migraines as do so many people. I had not heard of this possible interaction before and hope it helps our readers.
