When I was working, I sometimes had to give presentations about poll results and what they meant.  I was nervous as heck, but I tried to calm myself down by telling myself that I knew the subject far better than my audience did and there's always the old "I can get back to you later with that" when you don't know the answer to something.

These days, I am experiencing anxiety in choir performances, fearing things like my voice cracking or forgetting the words, but I try to keep my focus on the music and following the conductor and enjoying being part of a group that creates something beautiful.  Becoming one with the music leaves no room for self-consciousness.

Hey Judy!

So good to see you.  I would have been nervous too giving such presentations. You had a good strategy going in to it with knowing you could just say...let me research that.

Singing in public...wow...gotta hand it to you...that is fabulous that you can do that.  Is it always with others or do you ever sing solo at times?  I have sung karaoke now in public and it was so frightening but a blast.  With karaoke though...it is sort of expected that one might not be a great singer so it takes some of the pressure off.

Thank you so much for stopping by to comment.  I really appreciate it!

I'm only singing in a group, Merely Me - solos are strictly voluntary and I'm too afraid of my voice cracking as I've gotten older - combination of nerves and dryness.  There is strength in numbers!
