    Hello Aly

Seem's to me that you are in despair and looking for some answer's as many do, anxiety is one heck of a condition the good knews is that you are not alone feeling like this.

If I may ask a question, have ever consider therapy to help you cope with it, believe it or not it is possible but it aint easy, I think you should look in to it.

yea i have seen the comunity psychiatrist and they basicall tell me every thing i all ready know! breath deeply and think rationaly, and you know its all good and well them sayin it to me but for me to put in in to practice just dosnt happen, i'm not really lookin for answers just a name of some medication that has been found to be reliable and effective for people with anxiety, every drug that my doctor has put me on has been for depression not anxety! and they are two very diffrent things, i think i have worked out the root to my anxiety and know how it manafested its self its just not to easy to turn off! i would love to go and do hypnotherapy but the money factor totally holds me back and unfortionatly the nhs don't offer it through them, so do u know of any good meds that have results but they are not too dangerous to be on?

aly, i am a 63 year old who spent most of her life living with panic attacks, fear, anxiety. about 6 years ago i sat down with my doctor with a long list of "stuff" that i had been dealing with all those years. he prescribed Lexapro and it has changed my life. it took awhile for it to work, but today i am a changed person. i don't think anything about driving to see my children in other states all by myself. as you can tell, i'm very proud of that fact. i would never have been brave enough to venture out along 10 years ago. i pray that you can find something to help you as i have. i would have been a much better mother, wife, daughter and friend if i had been on Lexapro, but alas, none was available at the time. God bless you and your family. janie peters
