How Do I Help My Elderly Friend?
5/11/10 9:27pm

I've always been a worrrier. Infact I am known for my chirpy outlook on life but few people realize its because I am always thinking the worse will happen and I am pleasantly surprized when it doesnt.

My panic attacks started happening after the birth of my 2nd child. They seemed to be triggered by hormones occuring on the same day in each menstral cycle.

Later I experienced the same symptoms at times of excitement (a dinner out, an overseas trip) where I felt faint, dissassociated, fearful, heart pain and diarroreh.

This year I sought help after a miserable Xmas holiday with visiting relatives and financial trama after buying a lemon of a car.

I've been trying to work on my catastophic thought processes which severely impact on my ability to concentrate. I know that its unreasonable to worry every minute that the car will break down again, I will lose my job or be diagnosed with cancer. Things were getting better until last week when the car I cant afford to fix, did break down. I've been avoiding the call from the repairer all week and just when I was up to facing the fear. My husband has had to go for tests to find out if he has cancer. I'm about to fall in a heap.
