It's November, which means we're on the leading edge of winter. As ever, it's a season associated with coughs, colds and influenza. When the H1N1 (swine flu) strain was first reported in Mexico, we all sat up and took notice of the death toll. It really did look like a nasty virus was comin...

Hello Jerry
Well I can report about whats happening here in Canada, people are rushing out to get vacinnated actually its quite a sore site to see, people stand in line for hours and hours to get it but it seem's that we dont have enough shots to go around so the goverment startetd this ticket system just like you go to the butchers if one center as say 400 shots for the day well they give out 400 tickets.
These centers are taking by storm people actually going out in the middle of the night to start waiting at the doors it makes me think of when I would by tickets for a rock concert.
mothers with young children in the cold and rain for hours with no toilets or any other instalation for that matter, I look at it and at times it makes me think of Russia...incredible.
All kinds of stuff is happening with this Hockey teams being giving the shot before the priority person's just this morning they reported on the news that some inmates where given the shot.
Obviously the goverment didnt prepare even if they new it was coming...just great.
Next week pregnant women will receive the vacine without adjuvant (squalène) I understand that the vaccin in the states doesnt have it, so they say that ours is better what do think ?

That's an interesting update Michel, thanks. Any idea what the general mood is regarding having the kids vaccinated?

Morning Jerry
i am happy to report that the vacinnation campaign as taken a turn for the best, things are way better now, finally we are organized.
As for children people for the most part (I would say 95% of them) are getting the kids vaccinated children have been made in the priority list along with all medical staff and persons who have a low immunity system.
