I recently read an article about a father's son who was killed in Iraq during the funeral protestors stood out side the cemetary protesting the war, calling these fallen soldiers bound for hell among other nasty comments about the war and the military. This father became out raged and has since taken it to the supreme court the court is going to determine whether it was freedom of speech..
No family should have to endure this disrespectful and undignified attempt to play on families grief. In my opinion it's just a form of fanaticle fundementalizm to sympathize with terrorists.
How disgusting, and yet by our military fights to protect us from these barbarack tactics...

It is good to hear from you again. I hope you are well.
I also read this story. I can certainly say that I am appalled that people can be so insensitive to other human beings, especially those that are suffering and those that are laying to rest their family and those that have laid down their life for all Americans.
I also know that we, as Americans, are proud that we do not place limits, other than threats to life, on our freedom of speech and that is what makes our country so great.
All in all, I am glad that it is not me sitting on the court that must decide this issue.
Eileen
Eileen,
I am well thanks for asking. I wouldn't want the job of deciding the free speech issue either, however in my opinion there is a difference between free speech and invasion of privacy especially during a funeral there seems to be no respect for the family or dignity for these holy rollers who have no right to judge others as they go to church on sunday redeem their sins and start fresh on monday.
When my mom passed there was a woman whom our family knew, she was very kind and supportive. Her agenda was to play on our grief in an attempt to shove her Jehova witness crap down our throats. To play on a families grief and vulnerablity is wrong, unkooth and disrespectful.
