Learning to Adapt.

By dewalt.17 Wednesday, June 09, 2010

Hi all I'm still around,

Things in my personal life in the romance dept. have changed for the better waaay better.  I am so much better for it, I have learned alot about myself for one I try to have organized caios I write myself notes to remember important dates, lists of things I need to do and it goes on and on....Of course my life is anything but organized.   I went for another appt. w/ the nerosurgeon from my car accident  almost 8 mos. ago.  All the new things I have experienced since then are just things I must learn to adapt to, such as arthritis in my neck, limitations on my activities, vertigo: I can get medication for that and of course otc for pain.

It seems that as our lives evolve and change as creatures of habit some of us are not always so open to change, but it happens subptley or suddenly....The wierd part for me is I am always on high alert that I am missing out on the wonderful guy I have and worrying about things I will adapt to.

It is good to hear from you again. I am so glad things are finally going well for you. I know what a long, hard struggle you have had and you certainly deserve some enjoyment and joy in your life.

Your new relationship sounds like it is going well and your new boyfriend must be a wonderful man. How great for you!

Our lives are constantly evolving, sometimes to the extreme. If I look back 5 years ago, so much has happened and changed. We must learn to adapt to our new situation or we continue to be stuck, without growing. Each new experience offers us the chance to make our life better and more fulfilled.

Keep in touch.

Hey there

Thanks for stopping on over the depression site...it is nice to see the cross over of members on the different sites.

You sound good.  Adapting to what life dishes out isn't easy.  And you are right...things can change so suddenly.  It is all about expectations...we tend to think that our lives go in this straight line from A to B...and then we get hit with all this unexpected stuff and we find ourselves zig-zagging around...sometimes not even knowing where we began.  Least that is how it feels for me sometimes.

I do hope you keep talking about your experiences as...so many people can relate to this continual process of adapting.  Thanks for sharing here.
