Yesterday my bf and I did some spring cleaning, taking junk away, metals are selling @ pretty good price. By the time gas was purchased, went out for breakfast, then picked up the mail. Threats of govt. shut down, rising cost of every thing including property tax how are people supposed to live even by cutting costs. Fuel prices are through the roof, my bf is either losing his job or can work 3 days a week, or work full time at a pay reduction and made to take 4 week furloughs w/o pay... Trying to keep up with current bills and playing catch up on others is taking it's toll on all of us going through this non recession.
Among my own mental health issues I am still having residule effects from my car accident, now I have been denied disability and can either re appeal or re apply again. Maybe because I now have physical medical conditions may have a positive out come for me . I don't like that I can't work, just doing house work is an effort. When the weather changes it aggravates my neck and shoulders, vertigo can come on suddenly and lasts for sometimes more then a week to which just moving around is like being completely drunk. I have and continue to go to counseling as well as take my antidepressant, yet it is barely managable.
I am lucky though I have my bf, as he also has medical issues and had a seziure a couple of yrs. ago, he sees a neurologist every 6 months and has to have liver tests done due to the anti seziure med he is on. It conserns me of the stress on him could exacerbate it. We have talked alot about selling his home and moving out of the state. Don't know if it will actually happen.

Sorry it has taken so long to respond to you. I had a busy weekend, put down my computer for a rare few days and yesterday spent the day with my daughter. Anyway, since you wrote the government didn't shut down, we are still moving along in our "non-recession" as you put it and everyone is just trying to make it through, day by day.
I hope this week is looking brighter for you and you are feeling better. If you sold the house, where would you move? If you could move anywhere, where would it be? I think, if I remember correctly, you live in a cold-weather state, would you move somewhere warmer? Would the warm weather help your illnesses?
Good to hear from you again.
