Hello Eileen
I have trouble sleeping, I think that our sleep ''pattern's change as we get older in any case I wake up at least two times a night, I use to take hot milk with honey to get back to sleep but since I have diabetes I cant anymore, now its a hot camomille when I really cant go back to sleep, I should have at least 8 hours a night but I'm far from that 5 is more like it.
To often I wake with the feeling like that I havent slept but it doesnt change the fact that I got to put my shoulder to the wheel and go on with everyday things like all of us.
A good long vacation would be welcome ( I wish )

Hello Eileen, I have suffered insomnia for many years. I had no probs. sleeping until the age of about 24. I have suffered Anxiety/Dep. for most of my life, even as a child. Unfortunately, I was put on sleeping Meds years ago and have become somewhat immune to Sedation at night. I have had many traumatic events and live alone. I need to be quite sedated to feel relaxed. ~i practice meditation etc., My typical night would be, asleep relatively quicklly because of Medication, then its a fort of wake, sleep, dream, wake scenario and I have not had 8 or even 7hrs sleep for years. The odd day that I would get a few hours of deep sleep, I feel marvellous. I have been on antidepressants, more or less constantly because of disabling anxiety with Depression for many years.
