Has anyone ever started a support group for people with Generalized Anxiety Disorder with a formalized education component? If so, any suggestions on guidelines or where to go to get more information about all this?

I am interested in starting a group for those interested in learning about Generalized Anxiety Disorder. A local support group with an education component. I think it would help to find sources that can offer the tools to help us cope with this disorder and if it can be done in a group setting, personally, I know I would feel the reassurance I need to know I am not alone making changes for the better.

Thank you for your response.

I am sure such a support group would definately benefit many people. I tried to give you the resources I knew of that might be of help to you in setting up such a group.

Good luck with this endeavor and please let us know how it is going.

Eileen
