Anxiety..my newest enemy.

It is so hard to manage. I even know what triggers an attack. I try to change the "cause and affect" of it. Like right now I am very anxious. My heart feels like it is running laps around my chest, but my pluse and BP are normal. How can that be? Is my body doing that because of anxiety or is it something else? My last pdoc appointment he said that I know exactly why I have this going on....Maybe I do and won't acknowledge it.

Peace.

I am not a health professional but it sounds like you are experiencing heart palpitations. There are usually not dangerous but can be quite scary. I would suggest, however, talking with your doctor about the palpitations. It is always good to make sure there are no other causes of physical symptoms of anxiety.

We've had a lot of information and questions on palpitations on the site because so many people have had this problem with their anxiety. You might want to read:

I hope this helps. Please let me know how you are doing.
