This is good information indeed.
It is hard to make a complaint. Who likes confrontation? I think for those of us who are shy or socially nervous it makes it all the more difficult. And not everyone will be pleasant to us even if we phrase things in a polite assertive way. Also...picking and choosing your battles comes to mind. You have to make that decision as to whether it is worth getting into.
It is very important to stand up for oneself but it takes lots of practice.
