Time Therapy for PTSD and other Conditions

By Jerry Kennard, Health Pro Friday, February 22, 2013
Time. Our lives are dominated by increments of time. How often do we concern ourselves about not having enough time, or of being late, of wasting or making best use of it? We talk about people who live in the past, or live only for today, or who squander their future because of past misdeeds or mista...

Balanced Time Perspective sounds unrealistic to me. Who can think and feel that way? It sounds like the way a perfect person should be and there are no perfect people as much as we would like to be. Sounds to good to be true. I'm glad to here there is Time Therapy, I have never heard of this. I just can't see that a person can have a Balanced Time Perspective. I will read the blog and see what I come up with. As always, you give us new info to think about, Thanks, Crystal

I should have mentioned I am a past negative person if I were to choose a category. Thru life I'm sure there were times when the past negative wasn't so stronge. But yep, that's me now for sure. I really think the older I have gotten the more prevalent that has become. Just thought I would add this in to get the whole picture of my first comment. Crystal

Hi Jerry, Interesting post. I would say that I am a present negative, particularly when I am cycling in depression. I struggle in a job that overwhelms me with stress and anxiety and makes me feel like life is hopeless and that each day will bring me more of the same. I do enjoy things that make me feel nostalgic for the past. Just this morning I was on itunes downloading music I used to listen to all the time in the 70's as a teenager. Listening to that music takes me back. It wasn't always a great time, but it was a time where I didn't feel as burdened as I do now and when life still felt like a fresh adventure everyday. It was also a time when I lived in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, a place I adored.
