Thank you for your response. It means a lot to me to get support from you at a time like this. I am trying to sort through things and hope to reach a conclusion about the heart before it's too late. I will be called tomorrow to set up the stress test. I don't kow if I should wait till next week. My spouse returns late Fri. from her business trip. I wish I could get this done so I know if we need to go to a heart catherization and determine if there is a severe blockage.
If and until I reach that point I must lay low and not challange my body too much. This includes trying to stay calm. I'm thinking I should not wait for my wife to come back if I can get the stress test sooner. Staying calm may let me get to that point without undo stress. I keep my cell phone by my side in case of emergencies during the night.
I looked at the link and know that anxiety could play a major role in my weakness and fear. I wish I knew which it is now. Heart or not.

Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 07:27 PMThank you for your comment. I went to the emergency room yesterday and got a stress test. As a result of this and other tests they have given my heart a clean bill of health. My hemoglobin has climbed to above 11 and I don't think anemia is the problem. I am taking iron.
The heart is no longer a candidate for the cause of my weakness, back pain, and fatigue, but they still exist. I don't think anxiety alone is the problem, especially the back, which has disc damage.I just now took a xanex and tylinol to help me with my pain.
If you have other thoughts, I would love to hear from you.
Thanks

Thank you for your post. I am not a medical professional and would not be able to give you medical advice. However, I can tell you that if you have recently been in the hospital and had intestinal bleeding and you are currently on medication, all of these factors can contribute to feeling tired and weak.
You believe there is something more to your tiredness than just these factors and I believe you know your body best. It sounds, though, that you have been in touch with your doctor. Have you talked with your doctor about how you have been feeling?
You are also right that anxiety can cause fatigue. You can find out more about that: Dealing with Anxiety Symptoms: Fatigue.
There are different reasons you may be feeling tired right now. The best thing to do is to be sure you are getting the rest you need and eating right, in addition to following through on your medical care.
