Thanks for your post. Hopefully, you will be able to find the support you need on this site to help you manage your anxiety on a day to day basis.
I wanted to take a moment to tell you about the site and how our AnxietyConnection community may be able to help you.
In addition to all the articles, we also have ongoing discussions in our Share Posts. You can read posts from other people that may be in a similar situation. You can post your own question or you can share your experiences with others. In order to view the most recent Share Posts, go to the main page at: http://www.healthcentral.com/anxiety You will see a green button on the right hand side: "See Latest Share Posts."
If you find a Share Post that you would like to respond to, please feel free to share. You are also able to read someone's profile to find out more about their situation. You can also subscribe to an individual's posts. This way, any time they post, you will receive an email notification and can respond to them. It is also possible to send them a private message if you prefer not to share information publicly but want to let them know that you understand.
I will be regularly posting new Share Posts with helpful information. Please subscribe to my Share Posts so that you can be emailed whenever new information is available on the site. You can subscribe to mine at http://www.healthcentral.com/anxiety/ . Just click on the subscribe button just below my picture.
Please also look for me on facebook, Eileen Bailey, (my picture is on facebook so you will know who I am) as I will also be posting updates to AnxietyConnection there as well. Send me a friend request and I will be sure to add you as my friend.
If you would prefer to just browse all of the members of AnxietyConnection, click on the button for "See Latest Share Posts" and then click "All Roles" under View Share Posts. (Or if you prefer, just browse through members that share your situation.)
We also have a Question and Answer section. Many people post a quick question on medications or symptoms of anxiety. Please check and see if there may be a question you can answer. Often, when someone posts a question, they are looking for feedback from other people struggling with anxiety.
It is important for patients to receive an accurate diagnosis and medical treatment to manage the symptoms of anxiety. It is equally important for patients, and their families, to have a support system available. The support of a community provides a place to be accepted, to share triumphs and failures, to swap ideas and strategies for coping with anxiety on a daily basis. Through this community, people can take a proactive role in managing symptoms and creating successes in their lives. AnxietyConnection is such a community.
