I am a 58 year old woman who has always suffered from generalized depression... both my parents were alcoholics, and I married and divorced young.  I am married to a second husband, but unhappily, so we come and go with very little contact. Now to my anxiety... it started a few years ago with mainly sleeplessnes and a general feeling of doom...I finally started seeing a phyciatrist who  put me on medication and took me off welbutrin. I am now taking effexor and clonazepam several times a day(and night)...it works pretty

well, but I think I may need a stronger dose pretty soon.. not many people know about this diagnosis and, thanks to my unstable childhood, I've learned to act pretty normal...I work with clients and have a good ability to focus on them. so, what's up with you???
