Some people will pull out their hair, on various places on the body, such as the head, the eyelashes or eybrows or on the leg.

This is sometimes considered as impulsive control deficit, but other experts believe it is more a symptom of obsessive compulsive disorder.

Treatment for hair pulling would be the same as for other types of anxiety. Cognitive behavioral therapy and medication are the main treatments.

Suffolk,

Ironically there is all new episodes coming Memorial day on the cable channel A&E on OCD.  The show is called Intervention which ususally does docementaries on individuals w/ drug & alcohol.  I happened to see previews of the new season, which depicted a young woman w/ ocd and she was hair picking.  If you get A&E you may find some valuble info and insight as the show is based on treatment and rehab centers.

Hope this helps
