Hello, I am new to the Sharepost World. I was diagnosed with Social anxiety disorder about 10 years ago. All was well when I had insurance and could afford meds. Now with no insurance and little money to live on day to day, I am in search of relief from the symptoms that haunt my days. I have taken a job that only requires me to work minimal hours, a few days a week, still everyday (and I have been at this job almost a full year) from the time I start thinking about getting ready until after I have been there for an hour or two, I throw up. DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY ADVISE, that might help? YOU CAN ALSO SEE MY POSTS ON MY DEPRESSION CONNECTION.

I am sorry you are having such a difficult time right now. Social anxiety disorder can be hard to live with, even imagining situations can bring on symptoms of anxiety, as you are aware. There are some behavioral strategies you can use to help reduce anxiety symptoms.
Dr. Carolyn Clark discussed some ideas in a recent interview. Dr. Clark is the author of Living Well with Anxiety: What Your Doctor Doesn't Tell You... and you may find some suggestions in the article.
Deep breathing exercises also help with reducing anxiety. The following links offer some strategies to incorporate this in your daily life:

In addition, there are programs to help you get medication when you don't have insurance:

There are also free clinics located throughout the United States. You can find a directory at: http://www.freeclinics.us/freeclinic.php
I hope this information helps. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.
