When I was diagnoses with BP in 6/87 [I knew since 6/75 and no doctor believed me]. I was simply told to take these meds, and come back in a month! I figured if I took them regularily, I would be fine, cured as my support gal said! I had no support group, my family disowned me. I did not know of 'BP's sister Hypomania! ' My mobility Service Dog Precious told me of that one, when she constantly pawing me and laying on me! I needed a support group, since it seemed I was the only one in Washington State. I took Precious with me and my husband to see by pdoc. Sure enough I was Hypomanic. Now I struggle to maintain. Precious in pawing me again today, I am down.

Hello Nurz
Welcome to the site its a great one, I would go so far as to say thatthis is a virtual support group, so make yourself at home.
I love animals they always seem to know...no explanation or words needed they feel it.
Here at anxiety connection we have a range of experts who always come up with good topics that will get your mind off of things if only for a short while, members share between them and if its to personnal you can always send a private message to the person member or expert you will get a reply every time.
I have been on this site for a while now and I guess you can say I have adopted it.
I know all to well what you mean when you say I am down and I am sorry you feel that way today, I wont say things like tomorow will be better dont worry I'm shure you have heard all of this before, but I will say this your not alone at times we feel llike we are on a deserted planet where no one can hear us well I for one hear you loud and clear.
I hope that you will keep posting and let us know how things are...truly

Afternoon
Nurz I dont know were you live or anything but isolation at times like these is a no no so if you have a park near you why not take your dog with you and take some time to notice the little things in life a flower a smile, children laughing.
What I'm saying is you and your Hubby should change scenery if only for a hour, just the fact to get outside sometimes (often) will break a bad cicle.
I live in Canada so I guess you can say that the outdoors are most important to me, living in the sticks loll, I to have dogs two shepards one english and one german.
One more pointer on the net you can find easy music to relax to like the sound of waves or whales and such you might want to try that you know make yourself comfortable and just focus on the music...works for me.
Suffolk/for/suffering folks
I never realized isolatlion would do that. I can't walk like I used to, but Precious is a great help--except when I fall on her! She is such a good sport! I walk 4-8 blocks a day minimally in the evenings.
You know I recall now when I first had my back surgery some 10 years ago, and I literally did little at all but veggitate. I would go out withy my husband after work for a 'ride', and went with him and waited in his van 'just to get out!' I had forgot about that one.
