My children always want to give to the people on the street, especially at this time of year. When we learned about the idea called “bags of hope,” we joined in with loads of enthusiasm, preparing food items and a note with a prayer of hope packaged together for the next homeless person...

It is obvious that you are teaching your children well, I am sure that by giving they will find the true meaning of compassion and emphatie, I salute you for that I know that by giving one receives more then the person who is given to.
I do the same with my son, asking him to get a coffee and donut while I talk with the person, one more thing I teach him is not to brag about it to keep it for himself...he did ask me why and my answer to him was that it takes away from the quality of is gesture again he asked me why Dad.
I told him to trust me and that further on in life he will know.
I express my gratitude to you for all who receive
God Bless you !
