Your article describes what I am feeling as well.  I found that by taking a small amount of xanax (I am currently taking a low dose of Lexapro for anxiety), before leaving my office to go home or before attending an invent, it cuts down on my anxiety, overeating and drinking.  I would find myself driving home from work thinking of what I could eat when I got home.  Taking the small dose of xanax has seemed to help stop that mind set.
