Panic Disorder

A panic disorder is anxiety disorder marked by repeated fear attacks.  Many people first go to the emergency room because a panic attack can feel like a heart attack. Patients receive physical and psychiatric evaluations for a panic disorder diagnosis. Common symptoms shared by both panic disorders and heart attacks include chest pain, trouble breathing, and racing heart.
