Something free and fun.  Whether it's sitting outside and reading a book, to having family time doing something everyone enjoys doing together.  You can't climb out of the hole if you don't try.  You need a motivator in your life.  My mother is mine.  She will call me spontaneously throughout the day and ask me what I'm doing, which is usually what I was doing when she called hours before.  She tells me CARRIE you can't get out of this hole your digging so deep if you don't want to or try to.  So get up take a warm bath, make your favorite drink, and soak, soak, soak.  It only gets better from there!  Trust me.....a motivator is a very successfull piece of this puzzled world WE live in :-)

I'm glad that you are in therapy and have an open attitude toward seeking help. I would like the opportunity to offer some suggestions but it would be helpful to know more about the bad habits as well as the specific fears that keep you house bound. If you and your therapist are actively working on these it would also be helpful to know what approach you have been using. Sorry to ask for so much info but without it any response is really a shot in the dark. Feel free to send me a message if you would prefer not to disclose this info in this forum. Best wishes.
