Q: I have developed sores on my buttocks. Ihave been using paxil for about 10 years. I heard recently, that melatonin is helpful. Is this true?

These sores have occured over the last 4 years. They are accompanied by the darkening of the skin surrounding them.

I would suggest speaking with your doctor about the sores you have developed and see what he thinks. It is important to talk with your doctor about any medications, even supplements, that you take because even though they are natural, there can be serious interactions and side-effects from supplements. Before combining melatonin with your current medication, speak with your doctor to be sure this is safe.
